Good tip, thanks. I have a smaller tarp currently and really like the added visibility but I do worry about protecting my UQ. I think this is gonna be just what the doctor ordered.

I too like the visibility I get in a slightly smaller tarp. Seeing the woods right when I awaken is a perk of tarping and hammocking.

2QZQ UQP - never hit the trail without it.
    I use Dutch quilt hangers - quick-set-up.

Just purchased another one for my brother - he loved it.

Would love to have one in camo.

Donna here...If I could find some 1.1 (or lighter) calendared (breathable) ripstop in camo...that doesn't cost a fortune...I would be offering the UQP in camo. I have searched...had customers do their own searching...nothing. Anyone??

Shug, I seems to have missed some of your videos, but I can assure you it is not with my good will that that has happened.
    As always, one more masterpiece.

http://www.kryptekfabric.com/ very expensive and it does not stay on the shelf very long. Every single American servicemen wants it.

Atacs Was almost the number 1 until that new stuff came along above. There thinner fabrics like nylons do not look at good at all the heavy stuff does though.
    http://www.a-tacs.com/manufacturers-...ics-and-trims/

Kryptek is what the USA armed forces are really considering. Which everyone believes will be it. They are really looking at camo now in complete detail.

So if you had a tarp of any kind in this Kyptek it would fly out the door because every American soldier wants it. When it comes to price and its life or death it has no price. Many sites that make items strictly for armed forces like this one http://www.bdstacticalgear.com/ are backed way up. I had to wait 6 months for a small pack to be made in atacs. They are not cheap either.

So would a tarp sell in Kypteks material that a person can wrap around them or over them. BIG TIME!..... But its like 45 a yard I think. I am going to pick up 10 yards of it myself though soon for my own project.

Now http://www.hammockgear.com/tarp-cf3-winter-palace/ in camo is not a bad camo it does blend very nice at night. Placement is key like any camo. So I did pick this up.

I myself like camo I just feel better when I close my eyes I am safer then shining like a beacon for anyone to see. I always try to buy browns, greys your darker colors. But a good size tarp can cover up everything pretty good.

I carry my side arm on me everywhere I go. Which is extra weight. Maybe I am a paranoid old man.

If someone made a hammock or tarp etc in Kryptek Yup I would buy it.

+1 My husband is constantly drooling over Kryptek. Agree completely with everything written above. A tarp and/or UQP made out of Kryptek would be worth their weight in gold. We would pay a higher price for something with Kryptek, for sure.

Edit to add: By the way, you aren't the only "paranoid old man" out there. My husband does the same with his side arm and I am very thankful for it.
