There are very few things I'd rather do than walk through the woods headed for a nice campsite carrying everything with me. Welcome to one of the world's healthiest addictions. Get out there and go!

Looks like a great time. Next time leave the spam at home and grab a big juicy steak!

I ate the spam cold with a maple leaf garnish. After a couple of bites I pushed up on the bottom of the package like a popsicle and that slimey little brick shot out of the package, bounced off my knee, and landed in a pile of leaves. The leaves added a little texture and also made it a bit easier to hang to.

    Maple leaf garnish....I like that.
    Beats a dirt crust anyday.
You did good on your first outing.
Mountain views are good for the soul....& getting to them is good for my waistline.

I may be dumb, but at least I'm ugly!

I've done so much, with so little, for so long, now I can do anything with nothing.

    First Backpack Trip.

Fry up that spam right by the fire, toss it into some Mac n cheese. One of my fave campfire staples.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, & narrow-mindedness, & many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men & things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.
