    What is Argon fabric?

I've been researching under quilts and have noticed that Hammock Gear quilts come with an optional 'ARGON' material. I also noticed that no other quilt maker is using it (at least none that I came across so far). Searching for information about this material has proven fruitless and Hammock Gear itself offers no information...so, I am hoping that someone here can enlighten me:

Is this ARGON a fabric different from nylon? Is it a fabric coating, is it a weave? What are the differences compared to standard ripstop? Any information would be helpful.

is Argon optional for Hammock Gear? I thought all of their quilts are now made with it?

Check Dutch's web site, I believe he is THE supplier of this fabric.

Thanks old4hats, Dutch's site has some info on it, "ARGON Fabric is specially made for us as the cutting edge ultimate nylon quilt material. It resists wind and sheds water enough to be the outter shell of a quilt, yet it is breathable enough to be used as the inner shell. It has a very tight weave, is calendared and completely downproof."

We recently acquired a HG Burrow in Argon and love it. By far the softest nylon ever. Tough too.

Argon is awesome. Super soft and lighter than ripstop.
