    Stake Protectors

I was looking for a way to keep my tarp stakes from puncturing something else in my pack. My brother came up with this little idea...

It's the fingertips cut off of a pair of work gloves with 2 little strips of shock chord to hold it together.

    Weighs 8 grams.

I like it and might have to steal the idea. Now I just need to find some old work gloves.

Good job being resourceful and repourposing of materials.

    Looks nice.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

I'm headed out to the garage right now to look through my tattered work glove collection.
    Great idea!

I keep my stakes in a small pouch. I put a piece of corrugated cardboard in the pouch. Store stakes by shoving them into the holes in the cardboard. Protects other gear from sharp ends and the stakes are snug enuf that they do not fall out if you drop the pouch.

Great idea, I really like it. We sure have some great minds on this forum.

Simple idea when you think about it, but you never think about it until someone else invents it.

I'm not sure. I'm not home for another few days. I'm not sure what type of stakes I use. They were cheapies from EMS. I'll take a picture of one stake and post it. I use it for six stakes.

    Update:

I have the DAC tent stakes from EMS.
