    Wisconsin

Hi I'm looking for a great place to hang in southern Wisconsin. Any ideas are welcome.

Look into the Kettle Moraine SF Southern unit as a start, and close to home. Between the Ice Age Trail and a couple of campgrounds you shouldn't have any trouble finding a spot to hang.

The Wildcat SP has several sites suitable for hanging. The Devils Lake park also was good, but is a very busy place on the weekends.

I've stayed at Mirror Lake State park. Most of the site are wooded and many are good for hammocks. I saw several other hammocks while I was there. Good for car camping and seemed like they keep it up pretty well.

Where did you see good sites at Devils Lake? I was day hiking over there and drove through the campsites. They didn't look very promising. But I guess a couple of the loops were closed.

From the front entrance go across the tracks and up behind the staff cabin and restrooms. I don't remember what site number I used, but it was by a water spigot.

I would be interested in a hang here as we'll! Close to home.
