    Dual Layer Camo Reversible Hammock

Hello all! The mad scientist is back with another hammock. It's a dual layer - CAMO! - 1.1 USMC and 1.8 DigiCam sandwiched together. They are also reversible. You can have either one of the materials on the outside.

Yes, it has a ridge line - it's a temporary one untill the amsteel one is made to the proper length. The last 2 pictures show the temp ridge line attached.

Surprisingly comfortable and absolutely no calf ridge on either side. Specs are 11' long and 63.5" wide. As it is right now, it weighs 17.6 oz. - that's with whoopie slings and the temporary ridge line.

I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

    Excellent.

But I'd suggest the 1.1 Woodland MarPat and 1.9 Desert MarPat just to keep the interservice rivalry from disturbing my sleep.

Thanks Sarge. Thats ok - I was in both the USMC and Army (not at the same time).

    This is really cool.

I may have to do this as I have a hammock with ACU and I have 6 yards of unused MARPAT sitting in my gear tote. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, the hang is the same for top and bottom - as far as I can tell. Tried it last night and it's very comfy. I used a different type of gathered end to get the right type of lay for when the hammock is flipped.

Your welcome. It makes for an interesting contrast for sure. You can use different weight materials to make a dual layer - works just fine and is plenty strong for my 250lb self.
