    Bed replacement?

It's just about time to replace my bed, however, I recently hung up my no-name hammock that I bought a while ago and have been having some of the best sleep of my life.. Now I'm left wanting a new hammock.

Here are the two that I had been thinking of - http://www.hayneedle.com/sale/xlbraz...richammock.cfm
However, my hanging distance is right at around 12 feet, which appears to be below it's minimum hanging distance.

Other one I was thinking about was http://www.hayneedle.com/sale/largec...withfringe.cfm

I would greatly appreciate it if I could get some recommendations if there are any other hammocks that anyone would suggest instead of those, or just any insight in general.

5"8, currently 145 lbs. Living in Central America (It won't have direct exposure to sunlight nor be exposed to rain). Would prefer to keep the budget under $90'ish, though less is obviously preferable.

    Tl;dr -
    >Looking for recommendations on a full time bed replacement
    >5"8, 145 lbs (Will get up to 165, mayhap a little more during bulks)
    >Lives in Central America (70-75 year-round, no winter and no hot summer)
    >12 foot hanging distance (In-door)
    >$90 budget (Plus shipping)

    Thank you very much,
    W.

Your close to the price of a Mayan. I think you can manage to hang some of them with 9'.

I'll see if I can find a link. It's on the forum recently. Neo would be a good start, or Cannibal if you can hunt him down. Any of HF's full time hangers should be able to chime in.

Good luck. Looking to make the same move soon, and it's the Mayan for me. Small room.

    Re: Bed replacement?

I have a large brazillian similar to the Caliente link you posted. Measures 168" length x 75" wide laid flat.
Even on a 14' stand with 5' high attach points it is too low to the ground.
Very comfy when hung in a proper sized area

Well, after a bit more searching and re-measuring my room (And found another spot which I can use at 13'4"), I am now leaning towards http://www.myhammock.com/proddetail....A-BNOVA&cat=10, though I don't know if the minimum recommended hang distance would be enough for it to be comfortable?

And thank you two for the replies, I appreciate it.

Well, after doing quite a few more searches, I found a post saying that the dimensions will actually fit quite well in my room. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this tomorrow.

Thanks again for the previous posts.

All of those look extremely comfortable and I will keep them in mind when the time comes! Congrats on the conversion!

Eer, if you're in Panama... you should be able to find some comfy hammocks direct from the makers (or fairly direct through a local shop). I seem to recall in my searches finding local to Panama makers and in some cases 'Mayan' hammocks being called 'Panama' hammocks?

    Here's a link I found of a local-ish maker: http://tuckspanamablog.com/2011/08/3...cks-of-panama/

*edit* and you can contact them through facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/White...20296931406326
