Good One Nighter in NE FL

Looking for a hike in/hike out for a quick one nighter in NE Florida. Any suggestions? I am more familiar with NW FL.

    Thanks,

Campground Details - STEPHEN FOSTER FOLK CC SP, FL ...

Stephen Foster - is a real nice area you can hike along the florida trail beside the river. Nice views. Also you can rent bikes & take in the sights at the park as well.

I've stealth camped off the trail no problem if the main camp area is full.
There bathrooms are super clean & have wash/dry machines as well if you need them. Very clean park.

Bayard Conservation area, near Green Cove Springs. Nice hike to riverbank camping area. Free, quiet place with lots of trails. Also, never had any trouble leaving a vehicle in the parking area.

Looks nice though a little farther east than I was thinking. I will keep it in mind for a future trip though.

    Thanks,

I'm a big fan of Black Creek Ravines Conservation Area. I've done a couple of hangs there, and I think very highly of it.

It's a ~2 mile hike in and out, with some actual elevation change (in FL! *gasp*!) and some very pretty scenery. There's ~7 or ~8 miles of trail in the conservation area, it's free to hang, and treatable water is convenient to the campsite.

    Hope it helps!

No problem. If you want company, PM me with details, and I'll see if I can work out a way to meet you.

Okay man, I will send you a PM when things firm up. Trying to get out before hitting the AT end of October for some testing. Guy I am supposed to hike with may be joining as well.
