Hammock blemish concern here's a pic!

    Hey guys viper here!

Hmm well down below ill post a pic of the issue with my hammock.
But anyways it's not a hole looks like just where The fabric got stretched. But I'm not sure, so will this make my hammock week or effect it in any way? I have seen this quite a bit on other hammocks but never one of mine that I have noticed. Thanks guys!image.jpg

I would say keep using it and just give it a good inspection before each trip. Unless it start to get bigger it will probably be ok.

Might be worth a repair patch before you go too deep into the woods. I cant remember which vender sells the patches, but i know I have seen a few available.

I made a diy 1.1 oz out of 2nds material with a few blemishes like that and never had a problem and actually have a few holes from my car keys and still I fell safe in it. Rip stop is tough stuff.

Ripstop should take care of you, but I would still buy some self-sticking patches from the sewing or sporting goods area of my favorite discount store and slap on a nice, round patch. The hammock is a bit weaker if there are holes and you now have entry points for insects.

Looks like it is near the hem which is good. If you can sleep in the other direction. I would use it though. I've used worse.

I also have a few of them on my hammy. Been there for at least 15 hangs or so with no progression of problems. It looks like it's on the sides of your hammock, same as mine.

It's always a good idea to inspect it everytime you hang, daily, if multiple day trips or even after every nap/use.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
