    Clark Tarp Tieouts

A set of tarp tieout lines were included in my package from Clark. They are grey in color, close in size to the Zing-it I have, but the braid looks slightly different.
Does anyone know what type of line this is? Just curious...

    Re: Clark Tarp Tieouts

I'm curious about that too. It's lightweight, supple but very resistant to tangling when unpacking and deploying the tarp, a bowline holds well, a triple half hitch is easy to tie and holds well, and it's easy to untie a figure 8 loop after being loaded. I have some misgivings about using Bluewater Niteline instead that is double the weight and will birdsnest just by looking at it.

That line supplied by Clark is the nicest I have ever worked with for the reasons stated by ObliqueAngler. I too would like to know what kind it is.

I would order it in quantity to have for other uses as well.

Is it the same as Lash-it?

    http://dutchwaregear.com/25-feet-of-lash-it.html

Not sure, but I ordered some anyway. Will do a side-by-side comparison when I get back from work in a couple of weeks.

I don't think it is the same. As I understand, Zing-it and Lash-it are the same except for color. I don't have any Lash-it but the Clark lines are a different braid pattern than the Zing-it that I have.
I doubt that the Clark lines are any exclusive, one-of-a-kind product, probably a common item - I am just not familiar with the various types of line to be able to identify it. I could probably just contact Clark for an answer. Definitely very nice stuff to use.

It is cheap and cheerful nylon or polyester. Burn test will tell. No great strength, because not much is needed.
