I love the area. But anymore Im hoping somebody will put an elevator from the river up to the top! Also,, gotta take along a small trout rig for that green water. Did someone say ramps are coming up? mmm good with fish in a pan over the fire ~~~

Not sure w/o checking but I was thinking ramps are ready in the fall??? Anybody know?
And I believe the easiest hike down to the remote parts of the river in the gorge, is by Spence Ridge trail. It's not bad if you take your time on the way out.

Hey Tim. Ramps are about the first thing to sprout in the spring. I haven't noticed any in the gorge, but they are probably there.

I guess some discussion on where to camp is in order. I don't have much in
the way of suggestions. Jim d. reported over 50 people in the Sandy Flats
area Saturday before last while working down there. The river sites get pretty
crowded in good weather.
