New from Seattle

Yesterday I titled my intro "New from Seattle".

Last night as I was thinking about the forum, it dawned on me that my intro was probably a bit misleading.

I actually live in Sumner and am a Unit Commissioner for the Mount Tahoma District of the Pacific Harbors council.

With that added bit of info I would be most interested in making contact with anyone of the forum members from my neck of the woods.

It was a treat to discover the Hammock Forums.

After about a 35 year disconnect from Scouting, I reconnected about 10 years ago. For some time I have been interested in alternative approaches to camping and I have been considering the hammock approach for a while now.

I am eager to learn as much as I can as quickly as possible and am looking forward to your experiences, and reflections on hammock camping (also fun & funny happenings).

This guy says hello from Kirkland! FYI I think there's a group hang on the coast at the end of this month. It would be an absolutely GREAT way to learn. Go with your tent for just in case, and I'm sure someone will still be able to set you up with a hammock.
