My partially complete, Awesome UnderQuilts.com Foyle is on it's Awesome way!

Next step will be learning how to use my friend's sewing machine to complete the final hem after I fill the baffles with down. Then I'll run the shock cord through all 4 sides, and with a few pieces of hardware, I'll be hanging into the colder months.

Ready for the 2013 MAHHA Fall Hang in Watoga State Park, located in West Virginia! And for many other cool weather hangs to come!

Thanks Dave, I'm looking forward to completing the semi-DIY project.

Hey Ted! Your welcome! It's easy to finish up - add down, make a channel (use pins!).

I am looking to start a diy project on a uq and these seem the way to go!
Just a couple of questions though,what do you meen make a channel / is there a flap included that just needs to be folded and sewn?
Iam on atight budget this time of year so i would probably have to buy one this pay period and one the next,gotta make my wife one too! the foyle for her and the lewis for me she is short and i am 6ft3,
Do you offer any discount if someone buys 2 at the same time?

Hello Saedy. A channel is simply a rolled hem that shock cord for the suspension goes thru.

Having finished an Underquilts.com UQ, I can attest to how EASY it is to finish and use these.

Really, if you have even a rudimentary knowledge of how to sew, you can do this. Lost_Biker takes all the hard work out of making an underquilt - all you have to do is stuff it and close it up.

Dutch, it'll be hanging with my DutchWare quilt hangers!

I received the shell in the mail Yesterday. The down, shock cord, and cord locks should be arriving this week.

As for rudimentary knowledge of sewing, I hope to be borrowing some of that along with the sewing machine that a friend is lending me. I'm looking forward to the task. I think my girlfriend is tired of me telling her how excited I am about the project.
