Based on your endorsement and pics, I just ordered a 12' one with cat cuts and pole mod. Let it snow! I'll post pics once I get it.

Nice, had mine out on a trip last night. A bit of rain this morning and I was as dry as could be. Let us know how it looks, I bet it arrives in no time.

I am not understanding this, it looks like you have an AHE clone with a 9ft ridgeline, AHE offers the OMW in 10' and 12'. Was the 10' difficult to "get coverage" on a 9' hammock? It would have been 6" on either end, no?

The tarp looks good, and with the doors, will offer plenty of weather protection, just curious what you meant by hard to get good coverage?

9' hammock has an 88" ridgeline so a 10' tarp has 16" on each end the 11' Shangri La I had has 22" on each end. The longer the tarp the higher it had to be hung to clear the suspension lines.

My new tarp allows about 10" on each end which provides ample coverage and allows the tarp to be hung low enough I can seal it to the ground if I wanted without being against the side of the hammock.

You're probably thinking of Wilderness logics who sells the OMW. With a 9 foot hammock he is probably using a SRL, which probably makes the length closer to 8ft. So with a longer tarp he would have to raise the tarp higher so the hammock suspension doesnt rub.

Actually closer to 7', 88" to be exact after 2 weeks of up and down adjustments.

I went with 12' on mine so there'd be plenty of room for the disco ball. And you're right. Jared is a great guy to deal with.

Does the Disco ball help keep the bears away?
