Hammock rig weight? Not isolation weight.

    Hey guys viper here!!

Alright well I have my rough measurements of my diy hex tarp 11x10
    My diy 8ft tree huggers
My diy 9 and a half ft x 72inch hammock with a custom but net to fit my hammock.
And my hammock suspension are woopies so total shelter system is weighing about 4 and 1/2 lbs. and my tent alone I been using for years is 6lbs so still saving on weight/space. But just wondering how much does your guises shelter rig weigh? And is mine heavy?
I have put on some weight with my hammock I know for sure because its obviously pretty big and is made out of crinkled taffeta Polly 2.6oz /yard I'm assuming.
And so far I know mines not the lightest but it is pretty exactly what I was looking for as a hammock shelter system. Thanks for your feed back guys!

    Assuming you meant no insulation...
    Summer rig - 40.2 ozs roughly 2.5#
    Winter rig - 62.8 ozs roughly 3.9#

05.8 - Whoopies with Dutch Bling
27.0 - SLD Winter Haven with Dutch Stingerz and Dynaglide. Dynaglide Guy Lines with Shock Cord Tensionsers (This includes 20 oz for my custom tarp and another 7 oz for a custom pole mo d for the panel pulls, lighter than I had expected and these include the stuff sack weights)

~3.72 lbs though this is minus my AHE TQ, UQ, Snoring Cub Pillow which add ~3.75 lbs to the total for a combined weight just under 7.5lbs for cozy goodness.

Currently making myself a new system and the hammock, suspension, and bishop bag are expected to be less than 27oz based on the previous hammocks I have made.
The DIY tarp will be less than 22oz with suspension.

So total weight of the entire shelter system minus insulation will be ≤ 48oz or 4lbs. I have made much lighter hammocks and could probably put together a 2lb system without going cuben. Maybe one day I will...

Not bad...If you're trying to go UL then there is room for improvement but if you just want to go light then your doing just fine. Are you using a kitchen scale for measurements?

Hammock rig weight? Not isolation weight.

At the moment I have DIY ACU 1.0 11' hammock all suspension at 11.3oz
    DIY Fronkey bug net 5.3oz.
    Superfly tarp 23.40z.

    So all
That comes in at around 2.5 pounds.

    Insulation depends on season.

Re: Hammock rig weight? Not isolation weight.

That seems fine to me, if you are comfortable, protected from the elements and can carry it ok then it is a good weight Here are my (rough) component weights for comparison.

    Diy Hammock 10oz
    Suspension 4oz
Diy winter tarp with suspension and tie outs 19.5oz
    4 alpkit y beams 3.5oz
    4 ti pins 0.8 oz

Bug net (won't need it again 'till next may) 6.5oz

    Total 37.8oz

For summer 44.3oz (again these are rough weights)

No I'm using some weird scale that you hold and it has a hook under it that weighs whatever you put on the hook, seems like something you could weigh fish with lol but idk I'm not going for UL backpacking idc about that just wanted to be smaller/more improvement in carrying a bit less weight.

Yah it seems like im fit on weight it's you guys in everything but my hammock it seems like. My hammock is heavy compared to most it's 24oz but its pretty big. The reason I went with this crinkeled taffeta Polly is because they had the exact colors I was looking for in a DIY hammock. I can't find the colors I wanted in ripstop anywhere so I'm carrying another half a pound or so then needed but I like the color, haha
