HG 20 degree burrow top quilt now in stock

I am starting to stock Hammock Gear quilts. Adam and Jenny have produced some of the finest quilts out there. They built a business on innovation and quality. So I am proud to stock their quilts at www.Dutchwaregear.com.

We now have in stock and ready to ship 20 degree Burrow Top Quilts. They are black on the outside and green on the inside. Filled with 900 fill Hungarian Goose down, these quilts will keep you warm below freezing.

It is my pleasure to work with Adam and Jenny to be able to stock these. They are ready to ship out priority USPS.

    Product Description

The 20° Burrow is the perfect solution for staying warm in a hammock. With a conservative rating of 20°F and weighing in at only 21.1 ounces, 12 ounces of 900 fill-power Hungarian goose down will keep you warm during shoulder season.

    About the Burrow:
The Burrow works for both hammockers and ground-dwellers alike. The Burrow is a lightweight sleeping bag quilt that takes the insulation of a traditional sleeping bag and puts it all on the top and sides, leaving the back (which insulation is compressed and unusable anyway) open. Many hammockers use top quilts in lieu of a traditional sleeping bag because they are easier to slide into when it's time to sleep. The Burrow is designed with a foot box and a cinched top. Comes complete with a stuff sack and storage bag.

Nice pairing here! Thanks to both parties for making it even easier to get quilts from HG. I'm still holding on to my sleeping bags but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

These are made from 1.1 rip-stop nylon with 900 fill down. They were actually made in the late spring before ARGON was produced. I didn't want to release a 20 degree quilt in April. But it is getting time to for people to start thinking about colder weather. Of course Adam will be able to make one custom for you out of the ARGON fabric.

Ah, but you forget the variation in climate on this big continent. Here in MT where most of my hanging is in the mountains at 7,000 - 9,000 feet, I never use anything rated more than 20degrees year round! When it's 90 in the valley, it can still get down to 40 in the mountains and I always like a 20 degree buffer between rating and outside expected low. Currently, I run my 0 degree incubator UQ all year (it can be hung loose to vent) and have both a 0 degree and 20 degree HG top quilt. Wouldn't mind a 20 degree incubator, but can't justify it when the 0 degree does it all currently.

So for future reference, if there are business reasons/agreements for holding off, fine, but don't hold off on offering product you have in stock based on the "season". By the way, happy to see two of my "go to" hammock suppliers available under one roof!

By the way, out of curiousity, I had to go back and look. and on April 02, 2013 in Bozeman, MT, the actual high was 65° and the low was 31°...and that is at about 5,000 feet in the valley. The mountains still had 10 feet of snow at that time. The historic average for that date was 53° for a high and a low of 27°. So even in the backyard, a 20 degree wouldn't have been enough. The average low doesn't reach 40 until the end of May!
