This item is Woot.com (Yukon Outfitters MG-10646 Parachute Blanket), can it be used as a tarp or is it too small? Looking for a tarp for my Yukon double that I got the last time it was on Woot.com.

You would have to coat it with something, and it's very small (7.5 x 5.75 feet). I don't think this is what you're looking for.

You might be able to weasel a cheap sleeping bag
Since the test product I linked shows a bag and is ten bucks.
Most likely they will just refund you, lol.
Wonder if it would make a good under cover to keep the bugs from biting when it's hot and for protecting and UQ when it's cold????
"No whining in the woods"
Three yards of 1.1 nylon will cost you about $7.00.
Won't come with a fancy stuff sack though.'
But if you don't mind a $12.00 stuff sack with a $7.00 blanket that won't keep you warm, should be just the ticket.
I concur with everyone else here too. Not something you want for a tarp or blanket and not so cost effective for an undercover; but it could work for that.
If you ever want to make a tarp, there are plenty of directions here on the forums on how to do, and the correct solution to mix your silicone and mineral spirits. Perhaps on the diagonal this may work as a tarp.
