Paul,
Can you recommend any loops near the Hanson lakes? I'm heading that way with 2 other buddies for a week of backingpacking. We'd like to be out 5 days. Flying in to Boise on 9/14. I was so impressed with the beauty you captured in your video I'm recommending to my pals we head out there.

Hey sbeauchamp, There are a lot of great spots you could cover with 5 days. Your going to miss the Idaho Hang by just a few days But there are some amazing options.
With that much time I would say to look at taking the shuttle boat from RedFish lodge, hike south to Cramer lakes for night #1...its about a 7 mile hike. Then day 2 hike over Cramer divide to Edna, Vernon or on up to Ardeth lakes. Then I would turn back north east and go over Sand Mountain drop into Imogene lake...possibly hiking on down to Hell Roaring lake. Then head north out of Hell Roaring past decker creek and drop back to redfish and catch the shuttle back out across RedFish lake.
That's at least one option but PM me if you want more info.

Thanks for sharing a perfect moment even if you were unaware of it... Awe inspiring for sure, i want to be there now....just incredible scenery!!!
Great video Paul!
I can't wait to see those lakes for myself next month. Were you camped at the lower lake? I'm glad you took the time to scout the route to the lakes. Sorry I couldn't join you.
Keith
Yah I camped at the lower and of the two spots at it the main spot right at the outlet is really good for a large hammock group. The second lake was very windy and did not have much of a spot to set up any camp...maybe a bivy but it would be windy and not much fun...I did not get to the third or any of the more outlaying lakes...had to save something for the hang.

Thanks for sharing Paul!
That wilderness looks amazing! And the fishing!!!!
Jose Diaz
That was a great video. The deer walking around you like you're part of the scenery is priceless. I kept imagining myself swimming in the lake. So clear (and so cold I'm sure).
Thanks for sharing that.
