with certain people it only takes one little opening to run with it. Not that I'm apart of "that" group.

That's how sigs have been viewed by the mods. Unless a sig is inflammatory or contains a harmful link, it's usually left be. Although we have asked a handful of members to shorten really long ones in obnoxious colors, etc.

We've also had a few members be offended by another member's sig, even ones that weren't really inflammatory. We deal with those on a case by case basis.

But, I will say that if someone complains about another member's sig-line, while they have a political or religious one too....the complainant's sig is as likely to be removed as the other.

I think WV's idea is a good one. If you don't like them, it's pretty easy to just turn them off entirely.
