Use the tree to tie the head end of the hammocks. Then dig two holes and bury posts at the appropriate distances for the feet end.

Back tying the tripod will prevent it from tipping over. You need to use a tie out to a stake in the opposite direction of the hammock. This will somewhat equalize the load to keep it in the tripod. Tying the legs together is not necessary if you lash the tops together correctly. Digging them into the ground kind of negates the point of hammock being a leave no trace way to sleep.

Ok will a bipod work with 2 boom stakes to take the load pulling away, an can I just use 2 2x2 for te bipod, of coarse treated lumber
