    Another Data Point

    • 7/28/13: Ordered MacCat Deluxe.
    • 8/03/13: Received Shipping Notification.
    • 8/05/13: Package arrived.

Wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of the recent negative comments on delivery/communication, but this was a positive purchasing experience for me.

*edit: Thank you Brian for the quick turnaround. Strung the tarp up last night...pure awesome.

Glad you had a pleasant buying experience. (I did too.) The MacCat Deluxe is a wonderful piece of gear!

    Good to know

I ordered my Maccat Deluxe on Monday, before I started reading all about the problems associated with OES customre service. I've got a trip planned out for next weekend, and was really hoping to have the new tarp in time. So far, I've sent two unreplied to emails (one about a week sooner about some custom work before I decided to just buy the deluxe) and panic has started to set in.

Hopefully I can add another positive data point soon, but am apprehensive.

I have learned from reading and from my small amount of experience that with cottage venders (and please know I don't have experience with OES) that because they are typically made to order it may take a few weeks to get the product to you. With the gear I have ordered, from other venders, I can tell you that I have had GREAT experiences.

I hope you get it, but that's a pretty quick turnaround time for ANY of our cottage vendors.

I think that might be an unrealistic expectation from ANY of our vendors.

I also think you'll love the MacCat Deluxe when you get it. Welcome to the forums!

    Take it easy,

I realize now that's a pretty quick turnaround. I was tempted because on the website, the tarp was listed as in stock. I figured that would be a ready to put in the mail situation, and would ship out within a couple of days. I've got my backup prepped, but my hopes are still high for the maccat. Luckily there is little chance of rain (fingers crossed).

Woke up this morning to the shipping confirmation email! Should be here right in time. I'll update with a new post when the tarp arrives and I get a chance to try it out this weekend.
