    Frankfort Me. Hang

Nice laid back weekend spent with new Hammock Forum Brothers. Did a little camp site prep Friday in anticipation of more showers over the weekend. That evening I spent my first solo hang, much prefer having other to enjoy campfire time with. Mainewwods arrived on his way home from work early Saturday morning. He shared some Bushcraft knowledge while awaiting the other hangers. Next in was RKP followed shortly by octothorpesarus. Some time was spent with Mainewwods before he had to leave. The afternoon was spent jammed under the tarp after ATTrolls arrival during a brief heavy shower. Thanks to RKP for the hotdogs and rolls. The perfect repast around a fire and topped with great conversation. ATTroll seemed to be torn about whether to hang his rig or head out and ended up leaving after dark. Awoke this morning with a call from Mainewoods wanting to return and spend some more time with us. After breakfast and coffee time was spent in examining and discussing hammock setups. With a few beginning sprinkles of rain it was decided to start back out of the woods.
It was a pleasure in meeting new fellow hangers. I'm already looking forward to having a couple more hangs next year on my return to Maine.

Thanks olddog for hosting the quick hang ! Glad to meet you, Mainewoods, octothorpesarus, and attroll. Had a great time even with the rain. Maybe next time we can get a few more Maine people to attend. Heck, those in N.H. and M.A. too. Safe trip back to Florida.

===> REALLY sorry I couldn't make this hang! Next time. If you guys enjoyed fire making with Flint and Steel, here's a li k to a great site where you can get F&S Kits and parts, along with an amazing array of other Bushcraft toddies for short money:

***OOPS!!!*** Looks like they don't stock the kits any more!! Sorry! Still a pretty cool site, tho!

Glad the hang happened, and hope to make the next one!
