    Is my WBBB defective?

Hey everyone, I took my WBBB out for its first hang this weekend. Now this is my first time in a hammock, so I want to make sure this is defective before contacting Warbonnet. It's a double layer and looks like part of the layer was missed when it was sewn together.

I am not crazy right, that does not look right?

Hmmmm... I can't really tell from the photo so you should just send it to me for further inspection and testing.

It's not defective, there are gaps in the sewing of the two layers to allow a pad to be placed between them for insulation...Bush

Seriously though, a double layer is supposed to be open so you can put a pad in between the layers.

I'm a noob ,no expert but my SLD DL hammock has an opening just like yours. Mine has an opening on both ends on opposing sides to facilitate insertion of a pad.
    There's no excuse for laziness...

but, if you find one, let me know.

No, you're not crazy, just new! That double layer is for the purpose of providing a pad pocket. So I'm sure you already realize that if you are going to put a pad in there, you need an opening to slip the pad through. So, no need to contact WB, all is good.

Ok, glad to hear! I thought it looked way too nice to be a defect. That's makes a lot more sense.

Thanks everyone. I gotta say, most comfortable night I've had in the bush. But it was a little windy and got really, really cold. Looks like I need to use that slit to put in a pad after all.
