    newbie hammock purchase - help!!!

OK so this is my first weekend to hammock camp. have the ENO DN with bug net tarp etc. wasn't my first choice, but my only immediate choice. but now I am stuck on what to get. (230lbs, 6', broad shoulder)

Hennessy Hammock - jungle safari (not released till august trade show)

Dream Hammock - thunderbird or dangerbird (can't decide which), 11'x 6.5', double bottom with the winterdream tarp (144x120)

Wilderness Logics - night owl with either bullfrog or old man winter tarp (can't decide which) 144"x112"

Warbonnet blackbird xlc double 1.7 with superfly

Not sure you could go wrong with any of those options

Agreed . What I like to do is make a list.. And go down the list of each consideration of each tarp and hammock ,write down everything you like and don't like and how you wil be using them.youl start to see your best choices .That way you can decide where you can save some money or not skimp on something .For example.. my last go around.. I went with a smaller tarp and spent more on a lower rated uq idk but it works for me.. you can always save up again and order your second choices later .

Out of that list I would start with the thunderbird. It has as many or as few Bell's and whistles as you want and everything is modular, so you can leave some things at home if you don't need them (bug net, overcover).
Also, nothing for nothing, I'm a big fella with broad shoulders and I don't fit very well in the blackbird

Take the time and analyze well. What I did was writing down all specs and features and then considered if they were necessary, nice to have or unimportant but weight relevant.

But the best way to decide is if you can try them.

Well I would like to try 4 season, so the tarp will need to be good for that, doors etc. I live in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. I am leaning toward the winterdream tarp due to the coverage and would like to hear from users on what they like and don't like. after tenting for so long I don't thin weight is as much an issue.
