Arrow DIY:DL Hammock w/ Bugnet & Top Cover

Just got finished with this 1.1oz 30D MARPAT Camouflage Hammock.
My stitching is getting better but still pretty horrendous.
Think I am going to tighten up the top cover alittle more.
Let me know what yall think.?

    Looks great!

Is the pic w/ cover loaded or unloaded?

Might want to leave a little give to it?
    Really nice work.

    Thanks
I got in it and zipped it up and noticed that the Top Cover is still a bit loose..Dont want it flapping around in the high winds on the mountains so will probably fold and rehem along the shoulder part of the zipper. Easy fix.

WOW, nice work - LOVE that Marpat camo!

So set me straight here, you've got a zip-on bug net and a zip-on top cover? Kinda like a sock? Just trying to follow your mojo here....

    Thanks Klauss.

Exactly. One end of the hammock has a stuff sack sewn into the hammock where the TC can stow away when not in use. If you want to go completely topless you can also stuff the bugnet in the same bag or stuff the bugnet in the bishop bag at the end of the hammock. This allows for any combination to be used. Bugnet, Bugnet+TC, and TC. I put the bugnet on the outside because it will be used the most and it also allows for me to control the TC opening for ventilation without having to unzip the bugnet to get to it. The bugnet can still break the wind while allowing ventilation. On this hammock neither TC or Bugnet is removable.

I also included another stuff sack at the head end of the hammock..You can see it in the picture hanging down from the drawstring.

Are you using the head end bag as a pillow?

dude that is pretty unique. well, as long as you aren't claustrophobic.

is there a way to weather proof it? and eliminate the need for a tarp?

/edit still being able to breathe would be important. would nee a little vent or something...

It's about 30oz with everything except the tree straps. This hammock was never meant be UL. Its just a hammock for all seasons and alot of features. This thing is REALLY comfortable...Double layering that fabric worked out perfectly.
