Looks good! My next project is probably going to be an attached bug net

    Thanks.
The dimensions are 126" x 66". I cat cut the ends to alleviate some of the calf ridge experienced when laying in different positions. It also helps keep the sides from going floppy. Here is a diagram of how I hem my hammock ends.

Couple of questions if you don't mind XTrekker:

    1. Is the 126" length before or after hemming?
    2. Do you get the whole hammock body put together and then go back and sew on the zipper or do you do that during some intermediate step?

Yes 126' is finished length from end to end. I generally allow for 3" extra on each end of the hammock when I am cutting my fabric, for hemming and channel.

Yes, I hem the sides FIRST then hem the ends and fold over for channel and double stitch the channel. Then I come back and add my bar tacks at channel ends and attach my suspension. I test hang and adjust ridgeline to the right length then bring it back inside to attach zipper and caps. Then it gets hung tightly like Lost Biker's thread on adding bugnets, and then I pin the bugnet to the zipper and test hang again. Once I am happy with everything I sew the bugnet to the zipper.

Thanks XTrekker, that's pretty much what I figured but never done zipper before. Got a TQ finished this weekend so this is next up.

This might be a silly question but I really like your hammock and I'm trying to figure out if I can diy my own setup. How do you have your ridgeline attached?

Btw, I grew up in sandbridge and an missing Virginia so much!
