Why would you stop unless you ran out of fabric. I am contemplating making a cat cut hammock.

I have been doing that with the ends of the hammock. I put a 1" cat curve at each end when I fold over the channel to stitch. Its just a subtle curve and gives some alleviation to the calf ridge that is sometimes encountered when not laying just right and also helps keep the sides from being too floppy.

Before you go sewing the D-rings on. I'd consider using the linelock3's. I regret using the D-rings before I knew what the linelocks were.
