My Permethrin doesn't smell, and it's not yellow enough

I bought a pint of Martin's Permethriin 10% on Amazon. I feel like I got ripped off. It doesn't smell at all like the bottle I bought ten years ago, and it's not as yellow as my old bottle, and it's not even as yellow as this pic:

And I'm really disappointed it doesn't smell like what I thought permethrin should smell like. My, how times have changed.

How does it work? Have you tried it and see if its repelling..after 10 yrs maybe they changed it alittle and made it better? I would rather have no smell myself.

Hmm... I do know Martin's makes a 1% solution as well, its a very pale straw color in the same type of bottle. Wonder if they had a labeling problem.

I haven't tried it yet. I kinda liked the smell of my old permethrin - it reminded me of chrysanthemum (the plant on which synthetic permethrin is based).

I love the smell of neurotoxins in the morning.

My boss who is a farmer brought me in 2oz's of Permethrin that he uses on his farm, very yellow in color and smelled. He said to mix 1oz with a gallon of water. Still very strong smell. Spray some on our bandanas, once dried no smell, but do not do this inside. The strength, well a lot stronger than 10% Permethrin.

It's just not yellow enough for my tastes, and it doesn't smell.

I cant believe it is not yellow enough, and especially does not smell. But I guess 10% Perm. might be. Mine is about 6X of 10%. no joke.

I think the problem is I was looking at the Permethrin with backlighting. I've since moved the permethrin around, tried looking at it with different lighting, and it looks a lot yellower. When I hold it next to my blue eyes, they look green.

    But it still doesn't smell.
