    WTB - Ursack

Before I grab a brand new one, I figured I'd ask if anyone has an Ursack lying around that they aren't using. If so, I might be willing to help you turn it from unused gear into money - so you can buy more gear, of course.

If you've got something, shoot me a PM.

    Thanks!

Just a quick word of warning ( I read your post asking for Advice on overnights in NY/NJ/PA)

Ursacks are NOT approved by the NY DEC for use, if you go into an area where Bear cans are required (Currently just the High Peaks region, but theres been talk of making it state wide for a while) Having an Ursack will get you fined, the same as not having a can at all.

Figured I'd toss you a heads up..

And there's even a bear in the Eastern High Peaks region (canisters aren't required in the western region, AFAIK) named "Yellow-yellow" who has learned how to open the Bear Vault brand polycarbonate canisters!

    Take it easy,

    Thanks for the heads up.

Honestly, I'm looking for am ursack so I don't have to bother with bear bagging. If an area requires a bear canister, I'm not planning on going there anytime soon.

    WTB - Ursack

I've got one I'm not using anymore. Torn meniscus on day 2 of my one month AT hike ended my summer plans. It's like new - only seen 2 days on the AT and 2 days car camping.

White one with the inner sack.

    PM inbound.

For an additional layer of safety, TRU's avatar should be imprinted on the Ursack. That should scare away any bears!
