One thing I found that made all the difference, on the prusik used to keep tension on the upper half of the bury, you need to splice a fixed eye instead of tying the prusik. I had to constantly tighten the knot because, you know amsteel and knots. Ever since I spliced the fixed eye, then wrapped the prusik, I haven't had a problem, nor have I ever had tie tighten up the prusik knot.
Would you mind posting a picture of that? I'm not following where you're splicing the fixed eye. Thanks!

If you watch that it should make more sense. It's at the top of the constrictor where there is no tension.

I made a new set of UCR's a couple of weeks ago employing the eyes on the ends for the prusik. Like you said, fallkniven, no more fiddling with the loose prusik knot!

Has anybody experienced slipping due to slight different diameter? I bought 1/8 amsteel from Dutch in two colors. The yellow is pretty solid but the blue seems to be a hair thinner than that yellow. When I tested my UCR I went straight to the ground as the burry even when milking slipped through. I had to redo it with a couple extra inches on the burry and it seemed to hold a bit better. I am wondering if I am imagining things or this is just user error.

My ucr constrictors kept slipping over night until I eventually made them long enough. They seem to require a longer bury than whoopies. I've got something like a 10" bury on mine.
