Your trees really don't look like they are too far apart. I would try lowering the tree straps, tightening the suspension, and see if you can still get a comfortable lay. The Clark is comfortable over a wide range of suspension tension.
"...With saddle and pack, by paddle and track, let's go to the land of beyond."
IF, big word, I was standing there, I would probably lower both ends a bit, leaving the foot end about a foot higher than the head, and tighten or shorten the suspension at each end. With the weather shield and net zipped closed, and the hammock bed empty, the hoops should lean in toward the center of the hammock, not a lot, but definitely lean in. This should give you a fair decent lay and if you lay there for five minutes and think something needs adjusting, then start to adjust, but only one thing at the time, test after each adjustment. This sounds so hard to do, but believe me, you will soon have it down pat, so that set up is a piece of cake.
Man oh man do opinions vary or what? I posed this question to Clark in an email as well and they said the trees were too far apart! I hunt in places where trees are not on top of one another and where some hangers are suspended from rocks.
Having trees that are farther apart might help.
I hang some pretty far apart hangs sometimes. Higher with the tree straps for sure. Use a stick to push then up past arms reach. Then some adjusting is normal. It takes a few tries to get it right but then lock it in and you'll be good.
Carry forth.
