I enjoyed watching this happy vid! Nice editing as well. I could almost smell the humid environment. Majestic nature; as you said: Walking in a dream! The sound of rain tapping on a tarp in the morning - while drinking coffee - is great

One of the things I like best about hammock camping is staying dry and high when it rains. In a tent I was aways on the look-out for water coming in on the floor. Just love the sound of rain on a tarp, and feel of the trees swaying in the wind. You got some of that pitter-patter on this characteristically excellent trip bring-along. Thanks!

Boy am I jealous. I like the looks of the area up there. Sounds like the knee is doing well. Can't wait to get me some more woods time.

Yeah...glad you got out at least.
I set my tarp up first a bit higher than usual...then get under and get out my gear and string the hammock. Run out to do the tree straps quickly then latch on the hammy...adjust and sit. Done.

Almost got me the first night...started in a fury out of nowhere. Had to scramble and tweak the tarp. But once set all dry and ate my meal and enjoyed. Good wet practice!

I am always impressed with Minnesota's beauty. Just different than down South. Though my heart is down there a lot.

ViDEO: Superior Hiking Trail...Leveaux Mt. to Cross River

Wow....glad to see you back out in the Piney Woods, Shug! REALLY glad to see the knee holding up again! Nothing like a night hanging out in Nature to renew and re-center the soul!

Thanks for another great update - on the trip, and your recovery!
