Serious as a heatbeat,,, what makes you happy on the trail of dreams and sleep comfort.
For me it squelches the sleep apnea, snoring and allows me to hang with the professionals in a UL mode. I AM comfortable.

There was an Old Man with a owl,
Who continued to bother and howl;
He sat on a rail, And imbibed bitter ale,
Which refreshed that Old Man and his owl.WOO

The rain.. More specifically the sound of the rain on my tarp, while i lay there and watch it run down to the corner. Most often when I'm expecting rain i like to pitch the tarp into a half porch mode which is just removing one of the hiking poles. I think thats my favorite tarp mode..

Just being out in nature and enjoying the sounds of all the critters in the woods.
I'm glad that we don't have an abundance of red squirrels around here.
We do have these little devils though.
On backcountry trips where traveling has been physically challenging, the moment when I first settle in and get everything feeling just right in my hammock when turning in for the the night is pure bliss.
Don't let life get in the way of living.
When I summitted Mt Whitney in 5 hours and made it back down in 4 hours 4 min, falling asleep almost instantly as soon as I slid into my hammock had to have been one of the most satisfying sleeps of my life. Also, my girlfriend and I like to take little hikes and set it up just to nap for an hour or two. Those are some pretty happy moments as well.
I may be dumb, but at least I'm ugly!
I've done so much, with so little, for so long, now I can do anything with nothing.
It's not peer pressure, it's just your turn.
Nice topic. 2 times of the day are the best for me. 1) the last 5 minutes of dusk when the birds sound 1000 % louder than they really are and you wonder "will I be ale to sleep through this" and 2) when the birds start up again 1 hour before daylight and you doze off and on for the next little bit of time listening to them.
Number 3 could be the fact it doesn't take 15 minutes to go from laying on the ground to standing up and walking normal!
Just leaving tree straps up in the back yard so I can walk out anytime with a hammock over my shoulder a book in one hand, something cold to drink in the other and be hanging in 2 shakes.

I love being able to camp in the hottest months of summer. Since one stays cooler while sleeping in a hammock vs sleeping in a tent, I am able to sleep comfortably in Texas in August.
