    WBBB Ridge line ?

Hello been awhile guys and gals question. Bought another WBBB my old one got a hole in bottom patched it but leary on using way back in. Well I always hated trying to sit and recline in it with the ridge line in the way , so I cut the one end made a loop on both ends and have a mini carabiner attached to the long section and then I hook it to the opposite loop. Problem I have now is the bug netting is loose and baggy and hammock ends seems twisted did I shorten the ridgeline to much ? any thoughts

What does your modded RL measure? Making the loops probably shortened it too much and the biners don't add back the length that was lost.
