First time posting a trip.
Went and did a two day hike of the figure 8 trails of Uwharrie and Dutchman's Creek. Map total for the route was 18.7 miles. Unfortunately there was a severe wind storm that swept through the lower half of the Uwharrie National Forest Thursday night. There was many trees across the trails which made for some fun hiking off trail.
The grey hammock and tarp is my DIY setup. Brown hammock is my buddies HH explorer deluxe.
Temperatures got down to upper fifties Friday night. I have a CCF sleep pad and a fleece blanket for this night and with light Red Ram thermal top and bottom was good to go for the night. Buddy had a Army issue 32 degree sleeping bag liner and a large windshield visor as a sleep pad. He mentioned that he had got hot and had to vent.
In all made for a great trip and already planning the next one. Here are some pictures of storm damage and camp set up.
Sorry for the fuzzy pics, still trying to figure out camera settings in different lighting.
