Neo, do you use the 9x9 or the 12x12 Sortsman?

It is Nylon Tafta (210T). Silnylon it's not. I've had mine in a steady overnight rain and it did not leak. At 13' it provides plenty of coverage. I've considered his new 10x13 rectangular tarp as I thought it would be good to sit under. Keep in mind I'm not a big long distance hiker at this point so weight is no biggy for me. I could be carrying two Jungle Hammocks and it would still be lighter than what I used to use as a ground dweller.

Well, my tax refund was just burning a whole in my pocket, I just ordered a Claytor Jungle Hammock.
Now I think I will go get a Sportsman Guide tarp.
    OK, nobody tell the wife.

Congratulations! Let us know how you like it. BTW...the tarp that comes with the hammock is quite large. You may want to try it for a while before ordering a new one. Just a thought...

Before I even set it up I did find a hole in the netting, Not sure how I will deal with this yet.
Well, I set it up this afternoon and found it pretty easy to hang.
Stable. Easy to enter and exit, and I like the swinging action. You don't get that in the HH.
There is a big size difference between my HH explorer Deluxe and the Claytor Jungle.
I have not put my JRB Nest on it yet, but hope to try it out soon.
The double bottom pad holder is great, I'm surprised others do not use this design.
Yes, the tarp is quite large, and I will give it a try before I order another.
