    What's been your toughest hang?

What's been your toughest/ most 'creative' hang? As a newbie to hammock hanging, I find myself looking at trees, bridges, buildings and even road signs and thinking to myself "could I hang my hammock there?"

I don't think I'm the only one with that obsession , but even better, I'm sure some of you for sure have hung for real in some interesting spots. How about sharing some of these with us?!

    (Bonus points for pics ).

So far the only place I've hung my hammock is in my back verandah.

The toughest for me was on a trip with others and I was the only one above the ground. Our campsite for the evening was tent-centric and in order for me to hang, I had to leave the site to find another. Turned out ok though.

lol, my first thought too. Though it looks like the there is another one at the head end of the hammock and there are usually not two down spouts that close...

Either that, or hopefully he doesn't bounce too much

When I was in college I hung between a telephone pole and a chain link fence.

Just got back from Trip to Cape Hatteras and used my bamboo stands...It was really tough to set the stands up because the steady 25mph winds kept blowing the stands over before I could get in the hammock...Hammock=Sail

No it's a steel framed verandah. The posts are hollow section steel. Very strong but a bit slippery. I had to wrap my tree huggers around a few times to get enough purchase to stop from slipping, but got the technique right in the end. Now I can do what I want in my hammock and it won't slip.

    Thanks for the concern though
