Went out last weekend with my daughter to Pictured Rocks in Michigan's UP, but had to cut the trip short unfortunately. I'll get out Sunday for a day hike and start laying out plans for 5-6 day trip in July or August.

Mrs Byrd, my daughter The Mountain Girl, and myself will be participating in the second annual Linville Gorge Father's Day hike. A day trip, but we will all have hammocks for the first time to lounge around in between swims!

I am going to be here( 35.221222,-75.53088 ) for Father's Day using my GeoTrek Hammock Stand with all my kids and my awesome wife..This is one of my favorite places to go..Now that I got my hammock stand down to a manageable weight I can haul it no problem..

Who's hitting the trail for Fathers Day

Not hitting the trail but am out either way. I decided to have a campout for my Cub Scout pack. So my wife, 8 y/o "The General" and I just spent the night around the campfire after we set up camp for the cubbies to come tomorrow for the night.

No hiking...wife is working Sat so I will be taking care of the 14 year old. It's my son's first official day of summer vacation. Will finish up the TurtleDog stand, then have some backyard hanging with the boy. Can't wait!
