I've always been a stomach sleeper and I'm getting a warbonnet blackbird D.L. hammock, I was wondering if it was possible to sleep on my stomach and if not how difficult getting used to back sleeping might be? Any advice would help:-)

I will help bump this thread just because I'm curious to see if anyone has tried sleeping on their stomach in a hammock! I don't imagine it would be extremely comfortable
I may be dumb, but at least I'm ugly!
I've done so much, with so little, for so long, now I can do anything with nothing.
It's not peer pressure, it's just your turn.
IŽm more of a side sleeper myself. One thing that happens in a hammock is that the fabric will support your body in ways that simply isnŽt possible in a flat bed. YouŽll find yourself finding completely new positions to sleep in. I canŽt say IŽve found myself laying flat on my stomach so I canŽt say if it works or not, but I suspect that youŽll actually find some half-in-between laying on your side and stomach.
When this adventure started I slept on my front but after more than a year in a hammock full time I think I can safely say that front sleeping in a hammock is unlikely. Side sleeping is really comfortable in a hammock and you will get used to it after about a week.
Carpe noctem!!
For what it's worth, I've been a stomach sleeper my entire left, but slept on my back literally for the first time ever my first night in a hammock, and woke up feeling amazingly great the next morning. I did roll on to my side a few times, but soon rolled back on to my back and fell back asleep quickly.
I am a stomach sleeper... That said sleeping in a hammock is very enjoyable in spite of that. I have also tried sleeping in my stomach in the hammock and if it lays flat then it is not bad but usually I woke up in the middle of the night with my pec muscles so tight that circulation to my arms was cut off.
The syntactical nature of reality, the real secret of magic, is that the world is made of words. And if you know the words that the world is made of, you can make of it whatever you wish.

+1 that most tend to sleep just a bit differently in a hammock. I can't stand laying on my back in a bed but spend about half my night that way in a hammock.
As a note, bridge hammocks provide the flattest lay and will give you the best shot at sleeping on your stomach if needed. I have a Warbonnet Ridgerunner and will flip to my stomach occasionally and it works out just fine.

I used to be a dedicated stomach sleeper, and have the bad back to prove it, until I started sleeping in a hammock. Now, I'm either on my back, or very slightly on my side, and my back pain is virtually gone.

I can sleep comfortably on my stomach in my WBBB, even more so than in my bed. I'm a side sleeper too, and like those "in between" sleeping positions that are impossible on a mattress.
Since most hammocks don't have a completely flat lay, being on your stomach puts you in a reverse banana. I've tried it and found it totally uncomfortable.
That said, my 4yr old doesn't mind it.
