I am a stomach sleeper in bed but in my BB I have no problem sleeping on my back or sides.

Have never tried to sleep on my stomach in my BB. My wife is the same way in hers.

Don't think I could sleep on my stomach in my BB due to the way the hammock curves.

I'm had been side sleeper on mattress and sleeping on my back was almost impossible but in hammock I found myself sleeping on my back most part of time. I found that hammock also reliefs back pain.

I will echo what most have said.. especially the banana feeling in a bed I sleep in every position but my back. One of the first few nights I was in a hammock I just couldn't fall asleep except on my stomach; I woke up a short time later very achy and my arms were asleep. I rolled over onto my side and slept fine from there on out. I haven't had trouble falling asleep since (mostly start slightly on my side with a pillow under one arm and my head on the pillow).

I have been a side sleeper for my entire life. Once I got in a hammock I tried to sleep on my side and couldn't get comfortable, so I tried sleeping on my back, which I haven't been able to do for years. Well once I laid on my back I passed out and woke about 10 hours later and hadn't, moved a muscle. A hammock is the only thing I can sleep on my back in and it is the best sleep I have ever gotten.

+1 on a hammock being good for back pain.

I have slept on my stomach, side, and back in my wbbb. All worked but I have come to prefer my back in the hammock.

Started out on my back but over time worked to being slightly on my left side and recently have been able to get toward the right side. My being on my side isn't the same as in a bed it's about halfway between back and side. Although I used to go to the stomach in a bed, haven't found the need in a hammock. And at 62 YO the back hasn't felt this good in years.

From my point of view. I am a strict Stomach sleeper in beds. In my hammock I am a side sleeper. The transition between the two took a few days. I used to wake up at about 2am and move to my bed. but now Its completely second nature. I rather hate beds now. I keep ending up stiff.

    I hope this is helpful...

    OK, thanks guys:-)
Also, could I use reflectix to replace a foam mat for insulation? And if so, has anyone tried it and is it more comfortable?

I'm a side/stomach sleeper in my bed. Hammocks, however, are not beds, so I go with the flow. It is much more comfortable for me to sleep on my back in a hammock. I occasionally side sleep, but not for long.
