    Amsteel color fading?

Hey guys, recently started playing with some Orange amsteel, and noticed that as I spliced and worked with it, the orange color began to fade to a lighter shade of orange, and it looked really bad. It looks like the inner fibers are showing through, and they arent dyed as deeply as the outer fibers.

Does anyone know of a color that doesnt fade when it is spliced?

Agreed. My orange whoopie sling faded very soon after purchasing. My grey one is starting to as well. I guess function > color, right?

The silver/gray really doesn't seem to fade. Most of the other colors do though, as it's a coating rather than a dye.

Definitely not the black, you should see my hands after a splicing session.
I will admit that I have never noticed the color to actually run onto any fabrics.
I agree that the grey seems to hold it's color well.

I have noticed some blue rubbed off on the bedsheet I was using to test suspensions from the amsteel I was using. Yes, I was using blue amsteel.

And here I thought it was a figment of my imagination, when I was splicing yellow amsteel that the yellow was all over my fingers was a fluke and my body was turning yellow!!!
