Great hike in Dolly Sods, planned by Country Roads. Participants were CR, dog Ivy, Ferret, SweeyBabyD, and myself. Took Bear Rocks Trail to Beaver View Trail to one of CR's campsites on Monday, sampling blueberries and weather systems (every 15 minutes ) on the way. Clear in the afternoon, so no trouble making camp and cooking dinner. Highlight was Ferret's first night steak dinner. Rained at night, but nice weather for the hike up Dobbin Grade to Cabin Mt. Took the Rocky Ridge Trail north to Raven Ridge Trail down to another nice campsite near the Beaver View Trail junction. Explored down hill a ways to get water from the Left Fork of Red Creek. Another nice evening, then it rained during the night. Hiked out Wednesday in nice weather - just a fine trip.
Unedited, but mercifully short video clips here and here. Subject: what hikers talk about while hiking (Ferret very succinct).
