Topquilt test run, kept dropping it.

I think I am going to stick with a sleeping bag in the hammock.

I did a test run last night with an unzipped mummy bag and a blanket, my feet kept popping out of the footbox and I dropped the whole thing on the ground a few times.

Must be I thrash around too much to make to make it work.

Anyone else have any problems like that, find any fixes for it?

The size of footboxes varies a lot; could you zip it up a bit further to keep your legs in? If it was up past your knees it would be tough to kick it off unless you are a particularly violent sleeper

I considered that, it is a 3/4 zip bag so I thought I would have plenty of space in there, I do tend to do complete barrel rolls though while I snooze, not uncommon for me to wake up completely upside down inside a sleeping bag.

I always had that problem with shorter hammocks, and it looks like you are using an ENO. Since I switched to 11 ft. hammocks, no such problem.
