My KAQ seems to snug up against the hammock really well. I did modify the length of mine however. I shortened the length by 10". 5" off each end.

I just sold the one I had to Javaman. Had I kept it I'd have chopped it some. I had Patrick's small version and it was still bigger than I needed. The trend in UQ's seems to be smaller is better, to a point. I've thought adding a Nest-type slit would be good for Hennessy users, not that you need it for entry/exit but to prevent CBS. Make the length about 60in or so.

This last weekend I started making some adjustments to my KAQ to take care of the CBS. I'll post the pic's if I get around to it this weekend.

At the tie out points I cut the grossgrain @ the center point and added side release buckles. Cut the shockcord @ the same point and tied those to the side release buckles and added an extra cordlock to the corners of the quilt that didn't have them before. Basically I can adjust the quilt at each corner and at the side buckles. I'm also able to take the quilt off without having to pull any stakes out of the ground. As for the weight... Well as I said earlier I cut 10" off the length of the quilt.

One of my suggestions to MrPrez was to use stronger shock cord. The suspension will allow the KAQ to sag away from the hammock if I put additional insulation in the quilt.

Would love to see detailed pics, especially of side release buckles, so I can tweak mine.

I have to work as well. If only our day jobs didn't have to get in the way! Thanks in advance.
