It's always best if your an early riser!
I've never had a problem treating my hat either. I will be wearing a treated hat and a treated buff during the next 4 days so I'll see if I have any problems with sweat.

Humm, I been treating my underwear, socks and hat. Never had a problem <twitch> <twitch>.
I guess I will stop doing that in the future though.

I treat my socks, pants and shirt, but there is no way I'm treating my underwear with permethrin. There's some sensitive skin in those areas!

Is this the same stuff ? If so then CDC is saying it is ok to use on parts on body under certain conditions.
2.Permethrin lotion, 1%;
Brand name product: Nix*.
Permethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid similar to naturally occurring pyrethrins. Permethrin lotion 1% is approved by the FDA for the treatment of head lice. Permethrin is safe and effective when used as directed. Permethrin kills live lice but not unhatched eggs. Permethrin may continue to kill newly hatched lice for several days after treatment. A second treatment often is necessary on day 9 to kill any newly hatched lice before they can produce new eggs. Permethrin is approved for use on children 2 months of age and older.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
I don't see any reason to treat underwear. The creepy crawlers will have to get past treated stuff to get there. IIRC I read somewhere that they recommend having 3 pieces of clothing treated in an outfit.
I'm not trying to step on toes or start and argument here, but the idea not treating anything that contacts the skin makes no sense. When it is in the original wet for be careful and don't inhale. But I really don't see any difference between a t-shirt and socks or a hat. They all contact skin that gets sweaty. If putting it on a certain article of clothing irritates your skin, don't do it again. Just my 2 cents.

I did a research paper in college on pesticide handling about 20 years ago and it turns out your "junk" for a lack of a better term is more permeable to chemicals including pesticides. I am not sure why this is true but I found it in multiple sources. So that is why I don't spray my underwear.
