Very Nice! I liked the video a lot. It looked like a blast. I'll be headed up that way in about another month. I'm excited. Thanks for sharing.

Some of those shots were excellent. I really appreciate that you make the time to go out with your daughter.

Great video and trip report. Looks like you and your daughter had a great time. Thanks for taking us along. This was a reminder to me how much I want to take my kids to the Big Ditch for some backpacking!

Paul, Thanks for letting this slow old man tag along. That was one of the best 5 mile hikes I've ever had.

Makes me anxious for my baby girl to get a bit older. She hikes with me now but I have to carry her crap too.

Who song is that. I dig it. That is some turn the lights down air condioner up and chill music.

Cool music, too. That's a new one for me.

Since I only have daughters (and 3 sisters to boot) I'm glad to have somebody else to backpack with.

Thanks FIMB... I got lucky on a few of those shots - did you notice how I planned for that hawk to come into the frame? Pretty lucky.

Definitely.. I highly recommend making it fun.. I surprised her with some chocolate fudge this trip. Funny how they remember the stuff like that.

The song is Swept Away by Parra for Cuva.
I got it for free by "liking" them on Facebook.

I wasn't sure about only having their music on the audio but I like how it turned out. There was enough visual interest to keep things moving along.

    Anytime bud.
Your pace works well with my "Look-About" style of backpacking... I have a hard time passing up any overlook/view

Nothing better than sharing the piney with your kids. Kinda feels like you're passing on the "real meaning of life" to them. Glad you included all of us on your journey. Kudos, well done!

You know there is a reason people will come all the way from MN year after year to peer into and stalk the trails of this gorge and you did an awesome job of capturing why TP..but who we're with is the other half of the puzzle and by the size of your smile I think the coterie were the best.
Well Poof is native NCian and can you believe has never hiked in the Gorge. I'll throw this vid at her and I'm sure it will get put on the list.
OH, loved the green and brown backpack. Looks good.
Thanks again Paul. I'm like Hawk-Eye, just due to proximity have been there many many times, but it's a place you just cant get tired of and you brought back some good memories.
