    Hi from Alexandria, VA

    Hi all,

Last night i was thinking of the logistics of moving to another apartment, and trying to decide if I wanted to take the sofa-bed i currently sleep in with me or buy a new bed.

Long story short, for some reason I recalled hammocks, Im from Puerto Rico and i recalled we used to have a hammock on the yard for years, and I really dont remember when or why we stopped using them. So I thought, "Hey! that was comfy and is very easy to transport!" But was concerned if it was actually ok to use as permanent "bed". So I googled a little, and from one place to the other i found this forum! Must admit all the wealth of information and all the different types of stands, ways to hang hammocks, type of hammocks have blown my mind. I thought was pretty much something not really widely used. Oh was I wrong, happily wrong

Anyway now Im trying to decide what setup would better suit me, and I will be happy looking around the site.

    Happy hanging everyone!

Greetings from the southside of Richmond. Just remember that a hammock is a single capacity.

Welcome from down the road in Spotsy. A hammock is great for those solo nights. I keep the bed around for the ngihts that the girlfriend crashes with me though. Two bodies, 1 hammock only works well in theory unless you've mastered the art of synchronised sleeping.
