OK here but I'll have to think of something other than beans to bring. Hmmm maybe some Italian style Sunday gravy if I can figure out how to reheat it and cook the pasta!

I think we can make the pasta in bulk. I can bring a couple of turkey friers and some big pots. We can make a couple of types of pasta and we can have a few people make gravy or other sauces.

I think we need to be prepared to do some trail maintenance. Are we allowed to chainsaw? Maybe we change the spread sheet to include a group effort and what we can bring to help?

If needed I can bring my chainsaw. I have done maintenance on the Neusiok Trail. As far as Italian goes, my skills are limited.

OK! I only see about a dozen on the spreadsheet so far. How many do you expect for this hang?

This Sunday Gravy recipe contains Italian sausage, meatballs, country style ribs, lots of bell peppers and onions in a tomato sauce. It will be cooked at home and only needs to reheat at the hang. Usually serve it over rotini or similar. One big issue for the hang is to know how many portions I need so I ensure there is enough.

The turkey fryers sound great but can they be turned down so as to not burn the sauce while it is heating? Sorry to ask but I have never used one so don't know.

I put my info in the spreadsheet... Been lax about that.
    Pasta sounds great.

PappyAmos... I'm guessing people haven't committed fully since we are a ways out.

Miyanc- any guesstimates how many we had last fall hang? Maybe a ballpark would help Pappy

I'll be bringing a dutch oven - that should work well for reheating sauce but I was planning on using it for cobbler/dump cake. Should I change that plan since Chigger is bringing chocolate cake?

The Sunday Gravy sounds really good!

I also have a small propane single burner stove that could be used (would need a pot to go with it though, and not sure how much weight it would take - could do probably 2-3 qt ok). My trangia set has 2 1L pots that can be used one at a time or like a double boiler. Not a lot of space for more than 2-3 people.

I think the "powers that be" would be very nervous if everyone showed up with chainsaws... perhaps we should ponder that a bit.

I'm going to see if I can make this hang, it's so close-by.

I think we had about 20. Some came early some late and some only stayed for the day.

I would say we should prepare enough to feed 10 people because if we have enough people bringing a selection of things it will give enough food for all.

The fryers can be set as low or as high as needed.

Good questions are better then good answers...
