I've had a TQ get pretty wet on top, but the inside stayed dry. It certainly lost a lot of loft, but it dried out in the morning sun. That was in a shelter on the AT with a fire.

Doors are critical here in fog soup central. Nice breathable sock helps a ton, too.

That's what I was gonna say...when I buy down, I'll buy from ugq.

My forum name is Fish<><; I'm in the navy; and I hate sleeping on the ground. If I didn't need ground to walk on or measure resistance to, I think I could happily give it up.

I had that issue in the Smokies last year during my AT hike. Water was literally dripping off my UQ. I wiped it down with a Shamwow but it really had me concerned. I'm returning to continue my trip this May and have pretty much decided to switch to a NeoAir Xlite with half a Zlite as wings. It'll allow me to go to ground if needed and won't be a biggy if it ever got wet.

I will probably opt for my UQ on shorter trips where I am more familiar with the weather and conditions. I find the NeoAir and Zlite more versatile on the long distance hike.
