Correct Brute. When you pull the first loop through for the second brummel just grab the line a couple inches before where the bury ends. That way you pull the thinnest portion of the cord through first, and then it's easier to just pull through the loop portion and bury.

I knew how, but on my first one this was the most difficult part... And no one ever shows that part of the process... I was just asking the question before someone else came along confused..

    I Downloaded It

I downloaded it with "Download Helper" and watched it on my computer. Some glitch in there on YouTube, cause I was able to watch some of your other video's without any problem.

Great video and thanks for making it by the way.

I recorded doing that part but kinda rambled while I was doing it so I left it out. If anyone truly has a hard time doing it I can upload that part. You can actually use a large size common nail to open up the hole in the cord first and then just push the end through. Just make sure the nail doesn't have any rough burrs on the tip or it will catch the fibers of the strands.

Best demo I have seen! Thanks! I have been having trouble finding wire small enough to work with Zing-it. What did you use?

I work 1.75 and 2.2 with either guitar string wire... Or when I lost that one I unwound a spiral wound binder... Took me a few inches of coil and straightened it out to use as my thingy...

I'll have to try that techline from DIYgearsupply. It looks like a good choice for a ridgeline if it's strong enough. The bury effectively shortens the line some with amsteel, dynaglide and zing-it. I'm guessing your ridgeline came out 1/2" or more shorter than planned. Also, the bury length is usually calculated without the taper, so your buries are about 3" - which may still be okay for a line that thin.

Brute, for zing-it, try one of the colored strands of Cat-5 network wire folded double. Leave the insulation on it.
